There have been a few stories in the news recently that have had people questioning whether or not time travel is real. The Unbalanced Breakfast investigates!!

First is this story from archaeologists in Mongolia that found a 1,500 year old mummified woman that’s apparently wearing Adidas trainers:

Now the fact that the Internet is really good at being the Internet, this story has started to go viral and has become quite popular with Ancient Astronaut Theorists. Kenny thinks it looks more like a tied on ballet type of shoe rather than an Adidas trainer, and people are agreeing! What’s more weird, the thought that time travel could be real? Or the fact that people are siding with Kenny…

Our next story takes us to Florida where a man was driving his Dodge Charger and ended up flying off the road and into two different stores in a strip mall. Now what does a reckless driver have to do with time travel? For the answer to that we have to look at the police report: ‘He stated that he was driving at high speeds on the interstate in an attempt to enter a time portal, and that he did not leave the time portal until the crash occurred.’ Luckily it was a Sunday so nobody was at the offices so there were no injuries.

Archaeologists were front and center in another story that showed hope to time travel believers. A miniature Swiss watch was found in a 400 year old tomb. Unfortunately, this was labeled a hoax after the photos were found to be photoshopped. Although it’s rumoured in the deepest darkest parts of the internet that the ‘hoax’ label is just a plot from the man to keep us from knowing the truth about time travel.

We’re going back to 1938 for this video that surfaced online around 2012. The video shows workers from a DuPont factory walking by the camera, and a woman apparently talking on a cell phone. Have a look at the video and decide for yourself:

This video was also debunked as fake after the great grandson of the person walking by posted a statement online. Although again, that could be a ploy to throw us off the trail… This isn’t the first time an old video has shown someone talking on a cell phone. In the extra features from a Charlie Chaplin film from 1928, a woman is shown walking to the premier of the film while on her cell phone.

So after reviewing all these cases, what are your thoughts? Sure there are some fakes, but some of these stories we just don’t have an answer for. The only problem of course is that if a story proving time travel was out there, they could easily go back in time to make sure that story doesn’t get out.
