Nessie stories have been (excuse the pun) surfacing in the past few days, including two sightings in London’s River Thames! But before we go there, researchers at Loch Ness actually got a bit of a surprise while doing some sonar sweeps.

That image got the research team to delve further into the Loch where they ended up finding a prop from a Sherlock Holmes movie from back in 1969. What’s even cooler, is that the prop was found at the exact spot where there was a sighting a few months earlier. Maybe Nessie was looking for a mate and thought the prop would be a good suitor?

Yeah after looking at that photo, maybe not. Or maybe Nessie saw the prop and decided that the loch is too crowded and went for a swim through the River Thames in London. This video was taken by someone riding on the Emirates Cable Car suspended near the O2 Arena:

That video was posted almost two weeks ago, but it wasn’t the only video to capture “Nessie” in the Thames. This video was published to YouTube a few days ago and shows “Nessie” from a different angle:

Where’s Nessie going to show up next? The Rideau River?
