Trivia Tuesday: Almonte

This past Tuesday, we wanted to see how much our listeners knew about the friendly town of Almonte with a fun Trivia Tuesday True or False question!

So we took to our social medias with a tricky one, and it had some people double-guessing!

Some were SURE that the year was wrong, and it was invented in Canada. Others, thought it was true without a doubt.

One thing for sure, our listeners know their stuff. It was indeed, FALSE. James Naismith, the inventor of basketball, although born and raised in Almonte, did not invent it there. He invented it in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1891.
