Two years ago in January 2020, Nan announced she was signing off the air after 25 years with CKBY…

This spurred on what was dubbed “NANuary”! The month was filled with fun shenanigans like filling her office with balloons, and having businesses name her Employee of the Month.

It was filled with memories in the form of old photos with artists and friends. It had a major party at the Swan on the Rideau, where she broadcasted live for the last time surrounded by her radio friends and family, long-time listeners, and some local artists.

Nan was a radio host who was known for “The Drive Home with Nan.”

Many people recall her segments like “What’s Nan having for dinner?” as well as her time hosting “The Country Classics Show” Sunday mornings.

Check out the video below of Mayor Jim Watson proclaiming January, “NANuary.”
