The National Capital Commission presents, for its 47th year, NOKIA Sunday Bikedays in Canada’s Capital Region and invites you to hit the Gatineau Park and Ottawa parkways for NOKIA Sunday Bike Days.  Discover more of the Capital and join in on some fun activities.

 

Enjoy Sunday Bike Days every Sunday morning from May 21st – September 3rd, 2017(on until Labour Day Weekend).

 

Here in Ottawa from 9am-1pm you can enjoy these routes:

  • Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway (9 kilometres)
  • Colonel By Drive (8 kilometres)
  • Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway (8 kilometres)

Sunday May 28: NOKIA Sunday Bikedays is cancelled on Colonel By Drive, Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway and Sir George-Étienne Cartier Parkway for the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend.

 

In Gatineau Park:

  • 6 am to 11 am — 27 kilometres for cyclists who enjoy the challenge of steep hills!
    • Gatineau Parkway
    • Champlain Parkway
    • Fortune Lake Parkway
  • 6 am to 1 pm — 3.5 kilometres this section is ideal for families with young children.
    • north of Chemin du Lac-Meech Lake Road (parking lot P8).

On Sunday June 25, join us in Gatineau Park for ‘’Lap the Gats for Parkinson’s”. This annual cycling charity event is meant to be enjoyed by all levels and cyclists can register solo or as a team to support Parkinson’s disease research in the region. The event has a Tour de France flavor, offering prizes in different age categories and all funds raised go to the local Parkinson Research Consortium .
